Barbecue & Bakery afternoon

Today we enjoyed two special treats in downtown Toronto.   We decided that barbecue sounded tasty for a late lunch.  When we parked halfway down the block from the restaurant I noticed a bakery.  An italian bakery.  It made my heart sing.  I love italian cookies because of my dear friend Stephanie.  At that moment I told Richard we are going to pop in after lunch to check out the counters filled with sweet goodness.

Back to lunch at Lou Dawg’s.  The best barbecue restaurant north of the border we found to date.  Pulled pork, pulled chicken & brisket.  It is really hard to match Texas bbq but this place will do for a taste of home.

On to dessert. Forna Cultura is a wonderful, authentic italian bakery.  My taste buds were excited!  Of course I couldn’t leave with just one tasty treat.  I need to try several.  So below are pictures of the yummy goodies the kids and I are going to enjoy tonight and tomorrow.
